Molecules containing fewer than 50 amino acids are called peptides. In terms of molecular size, peptides are located between small molecules and proteins. Many peptide molecules have been licensed as pharmaceuticals both globally and in our country.
One of the most important reasons for the global attention given to peptides is that semaglutide and similar peptides, also known in the public as "weight loss injections," have received pharmaceutical licenses and reached a wide user base.
In addition to licensed pharmaceutical peptides, research peptides are also attracting significant interest worldwide. Research peptides are peptide molecules used solely in research settings to understand biological mechanisms, test hypotheses, and generate scientific data.
At CT Pharma Research, we conduct development studies of peptide-containing generic drugs in accordance with current regulations. In our R&D laboratory, an R&D project for a peptide-containing generic drug in lyophilized powder vials was successfully completed under the TÜBİTAK TEYDEB 1507 program. In addition, we are actively conducting R&D studies in the field of research peptides, which are attracting significant global interest. Detailed information about the peptides we are working on can be found in our peptide library.
